First occupied in 1942, the Chad Brown family development is the oldest

in the state of Rhode Island. Located in the city's Wanskuck neighborhood,
this development contains 198 units in 20 two-story brick row-house buildings.
The majority of these units have two or three bedrooms. From 1986 through
1989 Chad Brown and its sister development Admiral Terrace underwent a
$16.5 million modernization project. The Chad Brown development houses
the management office for Chad Brown, Admiral Terrace, and Sunset Village,
